As a Member Relations Representative in our beautiful Corvallis Operations Center, you will act in the best interest of our members by contacting members who are in default on their car loans. You'll scan the web to locate credit union collateral, run skip traces to find debtors and work with repo companies to legally secure cars with defaulted loans. You'll assist with the paperwork associated with small claims actions, bankruptcies and garnishments as well as the final, legal disposition of repossessed vehicles. You'll prepare monthly reports for the Board of Directors, monitor accounts to ensure receipt of insurance payment and recommend the closure of accounts, where appropriate.

What you will need to be successful:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be proficient with Word and Excel
  • Requires excellent attention to detail, customer service and telephone skills
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to quickly learn, collection and bankruptcy laws, Fair Credit Reporting Act and federal/state lending laws
  • 1 -3 years collection experience, preferred
