Description

TOPCU, a progressive and innovative Tucson Credit Union, where the work is rewarding, and your contribution is recognized, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. Pay range for this position is $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 per annum DOE.

We will be offering a $10,000.00 sign-on bonus for direct applicants. This is not applicable for those applying through a recruiting firm.

You will have the opportunity to be a part of a small team of professionals that make a big impact. This position is eligible for partial remote work - two days per week.

Using leadership skills, the Accounting Manager takes ownership to create an environment that encourages teamwork, productivity, and staff development for the Accounting Department.

You would be responsible for:

  • Leading the Accounting Department and ensuring all deadlines are met accurately
  • Establish goals for team members, monitor and coach employees to achieve goals
  • Take a proactive approach in evaluating, developing and implementing efficient and effective procedures

You will have effective time management skills and be a team player that consistently aspires to grow and improve.

We look for a combination of:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations
  • Effective teamwork techniques
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, GAAP and Compliance Requirements

Previous credit union experience in a leadership capacity is desired.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Five years of similar or related experience
  • Supervisory experience

OR

  • Ten years related experience; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred:

  • Financial institution experience
