As part of the Stop Loss Center of Excellence, this role will be supporting the Stop Loss Underwriting team. In this role, you will support the organization's ability to achieve its financial and strategic goals through effective underwriting. Identifies and manages risk, focused on stop loss risk, to maximize revenue, membership, and earnings. Performs underwriting analysis and risk assessment for new and/or renewal of large group contracts and accountings.
Requirements
Delivers complex, new business Stop Loss quotes and existing business renewals to manage risk while growing and retaining membership.
Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
Assists with establishing and implementing results-based programs and innovative initiatives for the Underwriter area, under general supervision.
Applies in-depth knowledge of the Underwriter field to offer feedback for decisions and innovation strategies that enhance organizational growth and visibility.
Reviews work for accuracy and recommends pricing and/or accounting alternatives based on financial analysis, underwriting principals, and business strategy.
Conducts audits on premiums, fees and claim wires to ensure all receivables are accounted for and accurate..
Working knowledge of business intelligence

6-8 years work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience and/or exposure to stop loss rating tools and processes as well as evaluating risk associated with the Stop Loss product.
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$54,300.00 - $159,120.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
