Broker Dealer Accountant

Salary: $90,000-130,000/year

Client/Job Summary:

A prestigious bank is seeking a Broker Dealer Accountant to enhance their accounting processes. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing team and gain exposure to a wide range of skill sets and work alongside Wall Street executives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries related to broker dealer.
• Support monthly and quarterly reviews of financial data.
• Help prepare financial reports for regulatory filings, including FOCUS reports.
• Work with external auditors and prepare financial statements.
• Coordinate with teams to resolve expense-related issues.
• Monitor cash activity and support treasury-related tasks.
• Work cross-functionally with teams and departments.

Key Qualifications:

• 3-7 YOE in broker dealer accounting, ideally at a public accounting firm, sell side firm, or broker dealer.
• CPA and/or Series 27 license preferred, or on track/willing to get either.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Very collaborative, able to work in a team, and not afraid to ask questions.
