Position Summary
Neighbors Credit Union is in search of a Chief Lending Officer to join their executive team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the full scope of the credit union’s consumer, real estate, and commercial lending, as well as collection operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will oversee and lead the strategic direction of developing and implementing loan policies, loan products, setting consumer and mortgage loan pricing, and applying risk analytics to guide credit extension and evaluate loan performance. The Chief Lending Officer also manages the collections department, working to minimize delinquencies and charge-offs while ensuring compliance with all applicable lending and debt collection laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include evaluating loan portfolio performance, overseeing day-to-day lending operations, and providing direction to support the credit union’s strategic goals and high-quality member service. The ideal candidate should possess 10 to 15 years of relevant experience and hold either a master’s degree or a bachelor’s degree with a professional certification such as a CPA. A strong working knowledge of credit union operations and philosophy is essential.
