Community Engagement & Foundation Manager
Reports To:
VP - Marketing
Basic Function:
Leads RRCU efforts in building strong community relationships and advancing the mission of RRCU Gives, our charitable foundation. This role is responsible for developing and executing programs that enhance RRCU’s visibility, foster goodwill, and create a lasting impact and relations in the communities we serve.
Responsibilities:
Act as RRCU’s ambassador, representing the credit union at community events, sponsorships, and outreach initiatives, while playing an integral role in public relations efforts that promote community involvement.
Oversee the operations of the RRCU Gives Foundation, ensuring alignment with the credit union’s mission and vision; collaborate with the Foundation Board and community partners to guide distributions and strategic initiatives.
Develop and manage an annual plan outlining the Foundation’s goals, activities, and timeline; monitor engagement metrics and report on community impact.
Manage grantmaking, fundraising, and donor engagement; prepare and oversee the Foundation and Community Development budgets.
Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, schools, nonprofits, and civic groups in collaboration with RRCU branches and/or departments.
Partner with the Director of Strategic Marketing to align community efforts with RRCU’s overall marketing strategy; assist in maintaining vendor relationships and executing marketing initiatives.
Plan and coordinate with the assistance from departments and branches, community events, volunteer programs, and member engagement activities; collaborate with internal teams to encourage employee participation.
Support the VP of Marketing in budgeting, financial planning, and strategic initiatives.
Maintain awareness of community needs and interests as they relate to the Foundation’s goals.
Adhere to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Three or more years of experience in marketing and/or business development. Some experience with a financial institution preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Public Speaking and event planning experience preferred.
Proficient computer skills and knowledgeable use of standard office equipment.
Outgoing personality and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Must possess leadership ability.
Ability to meet, speak, and deal effectively with people, being professional always.
Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
Availability to attend community events during and outside normal work hours.
Ability to travel within RRCU’s Field of Membership.
