Data and Reporting Engineer: Build Dashboards That Drive Business Decisions
We are seeking a Data and Reporting Engineer to join our team in a hybrid role combining C# development, database administration, and business intelligence. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies while delivering critical insights that drive organizational success here at Credit Union of Denver.
A Day in the Life as a Data and Reporting Engineer:
This position is responsible for mid-level C# development/ programming skills and database administration for SQL server environments, both internal and external utilizing Microsoft's Azure Lakehouse and Databricks. Also responsible for delivering high quality, complex and timely business intelligent dashboards and reports to all business units across the organization to support a wide range of initiatives including business intelligence, performance improvement activities, compliance, regulatory reporting, and organizational strategies. Collaborates with various business units to ensure that data are generated and logged accurately and meet reporting requirements.

What we are looking for:
REQUIRED Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field OR equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
Technical Must-Haves:
- Relational database design, development & documentation experience
- Demonstrated experience with mid-level databases (MS SQL Server)
- Proficient writing SQL and Transactional SQL (stored procedures, triggers, functions)
- Extensive experience with index tuning and complex query optimization in MS SQL Server
- Strong understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility
- Advanced business analysis skills focused on business intelligence
- ETL development experience
- Data warehousing knowledge
PREFERRED (Nice to Have):
- Programming background/technical discipline emphasis in degree
- Experience with analytics projects
- Financial institution experience
- Experience with additional database platforms (proprietary, structured, or open relational databases beyond MS SQL)
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with occasional weekends and after hours required.
Salary Range:
$98,512 - $109,458 annually.
