Description
Robert Half Financial Services are hiring for a Family Office Accountant role for a global Investment firm located in midtown Manhattan New York. Our client requires 3+ years Accounting or Audit experience within private equity, investment management or Big 4 Audit/Assurance covering Asset Management or Fund clients. CPA license or parts passed is highly preferred, with knowledge of GAAP, Month End Close, Financial Consolidation, Intercompany Accounting, General Ledger, Journal Entries and Reconciliation. The role requires 5 days per week in the midtown Manhattan office, but has work from home flexibility for personal appointments etc.Responsibilities:

- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Support the consolidation and reporting of financial results for multiple franchise locations/entities.
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions across the franchise network.
- Utilize accounting ERP to manage day-to-day accounting operations and generate financial reports.
- Collaborate with franchise partners and internal stakeholders to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in audits, both internal and external, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation of accounting tasks where possible.
- Ensure compliance with franchise agreements, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:

- 3+ years Accounting or Audit experience within private equity, investment management or Big 4 Audit/Assurance covering Asset Management or Fund clients
- CPA license or parts passed is highly preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP, Month End Close, Financial Consolidation, Intercompany Accounting, General Ledger, Journal Entries and Reconciliation
- Proficient in Excel and Sage Intact is advantageous
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Accounting.
The Family Office Accountant role requires 5 days per week in the midtown Manhattan office, so please only apply if you are able to travel to this location, have relevant experience for the role and are eligible to work in the United States.
