The Role: Intercompany Accountant (US Hours)
The Team: This team oversees all transfer pricing and below-the-line accounts, analyzing and closing out each financial period. Team members work in close partnership with Regional and Local Controllers, Tax, and Treasury departments to promote best practices and maintain regulatory compliance. The Global Intercompany team values collaboration, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting & Reconciliation: Execute day-to-day accounting functions, including reconciliations of intercompany balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Reporting: Support preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports related to intercompany activities.
- Financial Close Support: Assist with closing procedures for each financial period, collaborating with other departments as needed.
- Transfer Pricing and Compliance: Assist in the preparation, posting, and reconciliation of Service Fee and Distribution Fee Transfer Pricing models.
- Intercompany Settlements: Prepare monthly files for intercompany settlements and record all corresponding entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Regional/Local Controllers, Tax, and Treasury teams to resolve issues, share information, and implement process improvements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance intercompany accounting processes and participate in strategic projects.
- Problem Solving: Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex reconciliation or reporting issues.
- Best Practices: Contribute to the development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures to ensure operational excellence.
- Prepare analysis and assist in special projects
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting.
- The ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and communicate with multiple stakeholders.
- Keen attention to detail and organizational skills, especially in managing deadlines and priorities.
- Proficient in critical thinking and problem-solving within a dynamic business environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to compliance and continuous process improvement.
- 2-3+ years of accounting experience with general ledger close, posting entries, balance sheet reconciliations and analysis experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related curriculum.
- Organized, responsible and committed.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely present issues and ideas.
- Microsoft Excel knowledge and expertise.
- Experience with Oracle, preferred.
- Must be able to work independently, be accountable for processes/tasks performed, and understand when an issue should be elevated to management.
- Previous Intercompany experience a plus.
- Amenable for Hybrid work setup (2x a week in the office)
- Amenable to work US Hours (Graveyard) specifically 8AM to 5PM or 7AM to 4PM US EST
