Description
Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is currently seeking a Junior Mortgage Loan Officer to work at the Main Office located at 4401 Theater Drive, Evansville, IN 47715. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Originate new and maturing HELOC credit lines, second mortgages, and SmartMove refinances.
- Conduct detailed credit analyses.
- Monitor the prospective home buyers progress towards "mortgage readiness" with encouragement, advice, and coaching.
- Communicate with the sales team on progress of the prospects and their "mortgage readiness" and ensure the files are complete, orderly, and delivered to the originating loan officer in a timely manner.
- Perform outbound sales calls to existing members.
- Refer all loans outside of HELOC credit lines, second mortgages, and SmartMove refinances to Inside Mortgage Loan Officer team.
- Maintain ongoing contact with prospective applicants via phone, meetings, emails, etc.
- Perform table closings as needed.
- Help back up other MLOs that are on vacation or out of the office.
- Cross sell credit union products and services.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all credit union mortgage products including purchase loans, refinances, 2nd mortgages, HELOCs, bridge loans, and construction loans.
- Understand and apply federal regulations associated with mortgage loans.
- Log into the phone system to field and answer incoming mortgage calls.
- Develop a working knowledge of the credit union's data processing system, loan origination system, Word, and EXCEL software.
- Develop an understanding of credit union history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures.
