You’ll ensure compliance with fast-evolving requirements.
So we can drive change in a fast-evolving world.
Are you experienced in accounting within an investment, multilateral development bank or a well-known audit environment? Do you have deep knowledge of IFRS in a banking context? Then you can play a central role within our Risk & Control Directorate as you oversee major aspects of compliance and financial best practice at the Bank.
Bringing together 43 member countries, the CEB finances and responds to emergency situations and actively enhances the living conditions of the most disadvantaged groups. Strengthening social cohesion and building thriving communities in Europe, we drive inclusive growth, bolster economic sustainability – and create exceptional careers.
Ensuring adherence to IFRS and other international standards, you will actively propose technical solutions to meet new accounting principles and regulations. At the same time, you will prepare and review financial statements, enhance management information and reporting systems, and drive forward key accounting and benchmarking projects. What’s more, you will actively test new banking products prior to implementation, monitor our general accounts and oversee the deployment of our IT tools, so every day will bring stimulating new challenges.
To join us, you should bring:
- An advanced degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with valuation and provisioning methods.
- Strong aptitude for analysis and deductive reasoning.
- Full fluency in English or French, backed by some command of the other language.
Finally, ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) certification would be very useful, as would knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards and hands-on experience using SAP.
