Senior Accountant

Location: Greenwich, CT

Job Type: On-Site

Salary: $90,000-105,000/year

Client/Job Summary:

Our client is a leading commodity trading company. They are seeking a Senior Accountant to support the accounting functions and oversee financial reporting and compliance. This person will also support the audits and other reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
• Maintain the general ledger including cash, AR/AP, fixed assets, etc.
• Ensure timely invoice and payment processing.
• Stay updated with reporting requirements and regulations.
• Assist with external audits, respond to inquiries, and review documentation.
• Supervise and mentor junior accountants.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance.
• 4+ years of accounting/audit experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP, general ledger, financial statement preparation, quarter close processes.
• Strong Excel skills and ethical standards.
• Communication, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
