The role

As a passionate, self-directed technical Product Manager you are responsible for delivering value for your audience, in this case help digitalizing processes for insurance companies and internal users. This means truly understanding their pain points and how our products and services overcome these. You will define a strong vision for your internal and external audience based on the existing environment and the target state and work with engineering to deliver on this.

Responsibilities:

• Define the vision , concept and roadmap for insurance APIs in alignment with company goals
• Futureproofing the current API landscape including identifying opportunities for new APIs and enhancements to existing ones
• Develop understanding of the market for insurance APIs and strategic positioning of the Xempus product
• Work with business stakeholders including insurance carriers, brokers , 3 rd party Independent Software Vendors and internal teams to understand product requirements
• Work closely with engineering and business teams to create scalable, secure and developer-friendly APIs for seamless integration for internal and external platforms
• Be an active member of the Product function at Xempus, contributing to the overall Product strategy

What we are looking for

• 5 + years of experience in product management with at least 2 years focused on API products
• Strong understanding of API design principles, hands-on experience with tools like Postman, Swagger and OpenAPI
• Understanding of insurance processes such as policy issuance, underwriting, premium calculations etc highly preferred
• F amiliarity with insurance industry standards, e.g. BiP RO is an advantage
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (GDPR) is a plus
• A career history of focusing on delivering value for your customers
• Creative problem solver mindset with a data-driven approach
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English and German
