Position Summary
The Sr. Staff Accountant will assist management with ensuring the overall accuracy and integrity of the businesses financial data and is responsible for the advanced general ledger account and other critical accounting duties.
Position Responsibilities:
- Prepare reconcilements for all cash related accounts to include cash letter clearing accounts, Federal Reserve, ATM, Teller Cash, etc.
- Prepare reconcilements for fixed assets accounts.
- Coordinates the biennial physical inventory for all branches.
- Prepare reconcilements for all investment related accounts.
- Prepare reconcilements for other assets and other liabilities.
- Monitor daily entry input by reviewing daily system entries. Correct out of balance conditions, and/or communicates system errors and corrections needed to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with month end close.
- Assists members with inquiries.
- Documents policies, procedures and workflows for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Stationary work, often requiring standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Operate standard office equipment and keyboards
- Visually recognize, reconcile, and verify numerical details for accuracy
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Must be able to access and navigate facility with reasonable accommodations
- Lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items
