SAK Construction is one of the fastest growing pipeline rehabilitation and tunneling contractors in the U.S. We are looking to add an experienced Staff Accountant to our team in O'Fallon, MO . SAK offers competitive wages, great benefits, and a tremendous amount of growth potential!

Responsibilities:

• Daily entry and tracking of inventory purchases, sales, transfers and adjustments.
• Record sales to 3^rd parties, send invoices to customers, monitor the accounts receivable balance and follow up with customers regarding payment.
• Input invoices for purchased materials and ensure prompt payment to vendors.
• Utilize Accounting ERP system and inventory software system to ensure transactions are recorded appropriately.
• Ensure compliance by preparing and filing monthly state sales/use tax returns.
• Assist with the monthly closing process which may include journal entries and reconciling cash.
• Prepare cost analysis reports and provide recommendations to management.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for management by or before due date(s).
• Reconcile quarterly inventory counts. 
• Identify functions that may benefit from AI and lead the implementation.
• Assists external auditors as requested.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in a construction or manufacturing field preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles such as Accounts Payable, Inventory, Equipment and Job Costs.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel coupled with functional experience in Microsoft Office including Outlook and Word.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting software
• Proficient in data entry and management
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
