Our history started in 1949 when seven employees received approval for a credit union charter to begin serving employees of NASA. Today, the same great benefits of credit union membership that were once only available to the employees and families of those employed at NASA are now enjoyed by over 140,000 individuals.
As one of the largest credit unions in the region, NASA Federal Credit Union members enjoy the security of banking with an organization that's established, financially sound and federally insured by NCUA. With a strong heritage to serving the needs of individuals and businesses in the science, technology and engineering fields, the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People” has always been a priority.

We have a proud tradition of making a difference in the communities we serve by supporting the Children’s Miracle Network, the National Kidney Foundation, the Special Olympics, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, local area food banks and more. We also stand committed to today’s youth by providing scholarships for college-bound high school seniors.
